The IT Risk Management Intern will provide support to the Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance with improving the risk management systems, metrics development and special projects.  The Intern will assist in evaluating existing internal controls, examining current processes and procedures, work with Workiva’s WDesk Corporate Performance Risk Management tool, developing performance metrics and providing recommendations. The IT Risk Management Intern is expected to constructively work with other departments to improve processes and internal controls across the organization.


  • Assist with Vendor Management program development
  • Organize and maintain audit readiness workpapers for ISO 27001
  • Assist with operational metrics related to Information Security and Technology
  • Maintain, operate and modify the WDesk integrated risk management system
  • Support and audit control activities
  • Evaluate current processes and procedures for inefficiencies and make improvement recommendations

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • 1-2 Years of Course Work or Experience
  • Working towards a degree in a related field such as accounting, audit, information systems, computer science, engineering or business management
  • Completed a computer science or business analytics course
  • Risk Management experience
  • Background in Information Security practices and methodologies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
