||Under general supervision of the Business Development Director, assists in defining, developing, and documenting business and stakeholder requirements. Facilitates processes that enable stakeholders to formulate strategy, organizational performance goals,
and to identify, select, and implement appropriate ways to evaluate and monitor work against identified organizational performance objectives. Acts as a strategic business analyst subject matter expert, and performs special projects of a confidential, proprietary
•Researches and extracts relevant proprietary, competitive, and confidential data to deliver actionable business intelligence/insights for strategic initiatives, using a variety of tools, resources, and formats. Presents findings to management and board members
as needed. Participates in product/program management oversight to accomplish planning, forecasting and market data collection. Partners with organization stakeholders such as subject matter experts, product owners, project managers, external partners/vendors,
and process owners to develop analytics and measures, process improvements, and accountability tracking to achieve organizational results. Revises, redesigns, and updates analytics, key performance indicators, and metrics as conditions necessitate.
•Monitors, recommends, and proactively adapts new tools and methodologies in the field of marketing research, strategic planning, performance measurement, and portfolio tracking. Uses a variety of business tools and techniques such as environmental scanning
and analysis, performance benchmarking, risk analysis, estimating, process mapping, and data modeling to support the organization’s goals, business plans, and direction.
•Monitors and regularly assesses business progress against established goals and metrics; identifies emerging issues, implications and options for plan enhancements or recovery goals. Develops, produces, and distributes regular and appropriate summary and detail
reports to enhance management’s ability to respond and recalibrate effectively in light of new and/or emerging issues and opportunities. Collaborates in analyses that support effective decision-making for other strategy, planning and portfolio efforts. Provides
product, price, promotion and distribution analysis as requested to support business development and product business case analysis. Analyzes models and prepares proposals and reports to support organization’s internal position.
•Provides direction and coordination of key stakeholders to conduct tool training, scope of work negotiations, develop research campaigns, processing of invoices and assignments supporting business development processes. Supports the development of RFP’s related
to business development needs.
•Identifies trendsetter ideas by monitoring and managing the enterprise research repository.
Masters Degree in strategic planning, business, or management science.
Related Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant strategic planning, business analysis, marketing research or market analysis experience; experience in the health care sector a plus. Experienced in the analysis of business cases, marketing research and evolving trends through
continual evaluation, innovation and implementation. Skilled at evaluating new business opportunities and translating into recommended enterprise decisions. Certification in Project Management or Product Management desired.
Demonstrate knowledge in effective metrics and Key Performance Indicators (i.e. dashboard/Balanced Scorecard, etc.), and the application of inputs and outputs into a tracking process that links measures to performance. Experience with quality management processes
and exposure to budget and financial systems preferred.
Proficient in computer skills needed to support departmental tactics and is willing to learn new technologies as needed. Demonstrate familiarity with technological software and hardware platforms that support business development, research, and strategic initiatives.
Demonstrate ability to solve problems and exercise objective judgment while maintaining exceptional customer service. Maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and workload demands. Attention to detail and a proactive mindset are vital in supporting
projects across a complex organization. Must be a team player energized by working in a high-pressure environment. Should possess the ability to interact very professionally and appropriately when dealing with all levels of ANA enterprise members, customers,
and staff as well as other organizations (associations, commercial and nonprofit business partners, universities, distributors, etc.); distinguished Subject Matter Experts, academicians, and other key members of the nursing profession.
