Title Director, Marketing

Description The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the only full-service professional organization representing the interests of the nation's 3.1 million registered nurses through its constituent and state nurses associations and its organizational affiliates.

The Director will lead the development and marketing of products and services for ANA; including ANA's $10 Million Quality program, continuing education products, Career Center and Education Center. Individual will also be responsible for expanding ANA's reach into emerging marketing areas including FaceBook, LinkedIn and mobile; as well as managing ANA branding initiatives and advertising revenue development.

Manage the Marketing for the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) initiative and related line extensions. Develop ment of key Non-Dues programs, ensuring they effectively integrate with membership strategy and hit non-dues revenue goals. Manage
the Continuing Education (CE) Marketing Plan. Manage Marketing for ANA Programs. Develops copy strategy for marketing materials for ANA programs and conferences and supervises copy/layout development. Manages ANA Branding Program.

Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing required; MBA strongly desired.

Related Work Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of related management-level marketing experience, including staff management

Association marketing experience preferred

Skills:
Knowledge of all aspects of marketing, including product marketing, social media, and mobile marketing

Experience creating and executing marketing strategies, product plans and managing P&L’s
Ability to identify and build business opportunities that advance the organization’s strategies and plans
Exceptional communication skills including written and verbal communication and listening skills
Exceptional intelligence, as well as analytical and problem solving skills
Experience building and managing brands
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability work collaboratively and in teams in a politically sensitive, busy work environment
Strong organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and supervising employees
Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload
Healthcare background and familiarity with nursing issues a plus
Familiarity with Association management processes and issues a plus
