JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Applications is responsible for the creation, enhancement, implementation and the support/maintenance of the organization’s applications at the lowest cost possible as well as leading major initiatives such as the development of a Data Repository and developing a new platform for ANCC, to give our customers and prospects a superior. These services include the enterprise’s websites, social networking, collaboration, intranet, extranet, enterprise applications as well as capabilities including SSO, E-Commerce, System and Application Rationalization etc., The Director delivers projects on time and within budget experience while enhancing the organization’s efficiency and brand image in a cost-effective manner.. The Director measures the productivity of the team and works actively to improve the productivity and ensures all applications are managed at the lowest cost. The Director leads a team of internal professionals and external service providers creating and developing technologies to meet the needs of the organization working closely with Vendor Management and Infrastructure Management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Directs the development and support of the enterprise applications including Personify AMS, Episerver CMS, SharePoint, Authentication Services… etc.

Develops and manages the Applications and Online Services operating budget and resources to maximize output and minimize costs working with a matrixed team including full-time employees, consultants and solution vendors. Estimates resource requirements for projects to be used in Business Cases and budgets/forecasts.

Reports on productivity of team on monthly basis and actively improves productivity over time.

Collaborates with internal IT stakeholders/vendors to develop cost-effective solutions (technical, security, resiliency, support, maintenance, etc.) for hosted applications (including cloud-based applications) and web infrastructures

Develops and maintains the IT Architecture to provide the organization the best technology at the lowest cost in a secure manner. Develop full-stack and reference architecture designs for infrastructure across hybrid environments inclusive of cloud platforms. Develop a roadmap through design and development of timely architecture to power business goals and applications.

Works collaboratively with other IT departments and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive IT organization that delivers IT services to the Association at the lowest cost possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or better in computer science or Information Technology

Related Work Experience:
• 10+ years overall information technology experience
• Experience managing budgets and a staff of over 10 technical personnel
• 5+ years supervisory experience in managing people, projects and budgets
• Experienced in implementing Web 2.0 technologies and concepts
• Content Management Systems and Microsoft SharePoint/SharePoint Online experience
• Experience managing organizations of over 12 professionals and budgets of over $ 1 million
