Under general supervision, utilizing a variety of resources and venues, develops, distributes, and maintains professional and timely communications with subject matter experts, customers, and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Nurses Association (ANA) staff in person, via email, and by phone. Distributes ANCC E-Newsletters, updates customer information as needed, tracks associated analytics, and communicates trended data as requested. Professionally represents ANCC and the ANA to customers and the public at all times.

Works with subject matter experts on templated communications and projects,
including but not limited to, templating documents, developing and editing PowerPoint presentations, and editing other content as requested. Monitors and responds to communications from stakeholders, consumers, and ANCC/ANA staff regarding ANCC products, publications, and general information as needed. Communicates professionally in person, via email, and by phone to customers, leadership, and ANCC/ANA staff as required and responds with timely and appropriate follow-up communications as needed. In collaboration and consultation with ANCC and ANA staff, maintains and updates the currency and accuracy of ANCC website content as requested. Responds to, distributes, and files communications in accordance with established criteria and processes.

Performs surveillance of ANCC credentialed organization web sites and materials to ensure proper use of ANCC program logos and trademark information. Communicates via phone and email with credentialed organizations as appropriate to ensure adherence to established ANCC program standards.

Reviews and responds to requests for permission to use ANCC copyrighted
materials. Processes requests according to established ANA/ANCC guidelines and via associated databases. Communicates final decision and associated documents to customers as instructed by Director.

Coordinates the development of applicable E-Newsletter content with ANCC
program staff. Implements the distribution of regularly scheduled (monthly/quarterly) ANCC program E-Newsletters to ANCC credentialed organizations. Creates and uses email templates in the Real Magnet email distribution system. Distributes E-Newsletters via Real Magnet, updates customer information on a continual basis as needed, tracks associated analytics, and communicates trended data as requested. Follows up with ANCC programs regarding undeliverable emails.

Keeps abreast of current web-based industry standards, social media strategies,
and trends in communications. Communicates pertinent information to leadership as appropriate.

Attends departmental and committee meetings and conference calls as requested, providing professionally prepared reports as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supports the quality management system ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Provides oversight of ISO documents for department.

Bachelor’s Degree required in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.

Related Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years, preferably in a position with multiple complexities requiring communication, project management skills, and public relations. Experience or knowledge in healthcare a plus. Experience in developing learning programs/instructional design a plus. Experience with Real Magnet and Higher Logic platforms a plus.

Demonstrated competency in written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills with ability to relate easily to diverse individuals and groups
Experience in handling confidential information

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, assignments, and deadlines with strong attention to detail; creativity and innovativeness are desired
Ability to work independently and in teams
Proficient in Microsoft office products, varied database applications, web, and social media vehicles
