JOB SUMMARY:
The successful Director, Organizational Development will be a strategic and innovative thinker and an agile learner that is able to generate solutions to organizational challenges. The Director of OD serves as a recognized leader in Cultural Transformation and change management, internal consultant, project director and liaison to drive the execution and completion of projects.

The Director, Organizational Development is responsible for researching, creating, delivering, and managing the development of a fully-integrated professional development and training program. The ODDir will work in conjunction with the CEO, COO and VP HR to provide a strategy for the organizations Cultural transformation. This position will interact with all levels throughout the organization to create, professional development strategies to drive employee engagement, performance, support change management, and improve departmental operational efficiencies in support the ANA Enterprise’s operational vision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Organizational Development, Facilitation and Training
• Create, coordinate, facilitate, deliver, and oversee employee training curriculum, such as, Crucial Conversations, Management ,Leadership, RACI training, and other relevant training programs as directed including audio-visual materials, learner guides, course materials and associated presentations.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives including employee engagement survey and leadership recognition programs.
• Collaborate with HRBP colleagues to identify and create OD and learning programs to meet the specific needs of departments throughout organization.
• Facilitate and lead cross-Divisional/Entity teams in collaboration to successfully design and implement large scale learning initiatives.
• Function as primary point of contact for enterprise-wide professional development and learning-related projects.
• Complete needs assessments as necessary for organizational training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
• Identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into executive and departmental training plans.
• Design and implement evaluation processes to assess effectiveness of programs
• Develop learning activities and related content, design and conduct participant evaluations /survey and feedback vehicles to gather insight for the enhancement of future enterprise learning and development opportunities.
• Manage the employee onboarding processes.
• Evaluate, engage and deploy 3rd-party learning resources that support the contemporary learning and developmental needs of the Enterprise (i.e. ASEA, AMA, and Vital Smarts).
• Provide guidance on the content development and maintenance of LMS training materials (Biz Library) for the ANA Enterprise.
• Oversee the management of ongoing maintenance of LMS users and course catalog learning curriculum performed by the HR Coordinator.

Culture Transformation & Change Management
• Drive, lead and plan effective employee engagement management strategies across the enterprise and create actionable deliverables to ensure employee adoption, integration and impact in support of the ANA Enterprise’s cultural transformation and roadmap.
• Consult with the CEO, COO, ELT, and the Vice President of HR and leadership to ensure alignment between change initiatives, organizational goals, and employee engagement.
• Keep apprised and identify organizational development priorities in order to impact behavioral and cultural change.
• Design and operationalize change management strategies that support the enterprise goal of becoming a high-performing organization; to include initiatives that foster a high performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norm.
• Lead the assessment, design and facilitation of the organization’s employee recognition program that improves the organization’s cultural effectiveness.
• Guide and coach leaders at all levels in developing clear objectives and development plans, and provide feedback to evaluate organizational and team improvements.
• Lead and manage division/entity quarterly activities that include change management strategies, processes and interventions that support a high-performing organization and team building.
• Lead the Cultural Transformation Implementation Team (CTIT).
• Manage OD consultants who are dedicated to cultural transformation work.
• Managers the employee onboarding program.
• Responsible for the preparation or acquisition of all training materials and planning of training facilities.
• Performs all administrative duties for all initiatives.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly training and professional development opportunities reports.

Organizational Development & Assessment
• Lead planning, rollout, analysis and resulting activities, both qualitative and quantitative, for the Pulse Survey and semi-annual Employee Engagement survey.
• Manage the survey analysis processes, ensuring HR and the executive leadership team is creating solutions to continuously improve the culture throughout the enterprise.
• Utilize employee engagement survey results to assess team strengths and weaknesses; develop improvement strategies and action plans.
• Coach executive leadership team, managers, and team leaders to identify individual and organizational gaps and develop methods or strategies to address identified gaps.
• Identify possible new KPIs and other metrics to monitor trends in specialized departments throughout the enterprise.
• Provide project management expertise in executing organizational development learning initiatives, including OD project objectives, resource allocation, timeline and major milestones and tasks.
• Proactively troubleshoot potential issues and recommend solutions for OD projects and initiatives.
• Provide expertise, lead and participate in strategy development and execution, planning, and facilitation of leadership retreats and other OD enterprise initiatives.
• Consult with executive leadership team and the VP of HR on OD performance, assessments, objectives, and progression of all OD initiatives.
• Coordinate consultants, plan and facilitate department retreats as requested.

Professional Development
• Utilize organizational intranet and other media to manage related OD messaging.
• Collaborate with the internal communications team to ensure effective communication and provide consultation to processes that will build staff engagement.
• Contribute to the creation, facilitation, and management of programs for career and professional development throughout the enterprise. Act as a resource to employees and managers on career & professional development.
• Facilitate professional development opportunities as available.
• Collaborate with managers on the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant personal development plans for their staffs.
• Engage in coaching, mentoring and assessment schemes to support staff development and the achievement of personal development plans.
• Assist in the development and implementation of all internal communication strategies that inform the organization of the executive leadership team’s short-term and long-term key priorities when it comes to employee professional development.

Administrative Duties
• Manage the orientation program.
• Prepares all training materials and planning of training facilities.
• Manage administrative duties for all initiatives.
• Prepare monthly training and professional development opportunities reports. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, business, psychology or related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree. Will consider appropriate combination of education and experience.

Work Related Experience:
• Eight to Ten (8-10) years of experience leading organizational a large changes such as cultural transformation; deep knowledge of organizational training and development professional development and in a professional corporate setting; prior experience with on-line systems and blended learning processes.
• Three (3) years of management experience at the Director level.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and change with excellent analytical skills to provide solutions.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in leadership development initiatives, coaching, facilitating, change management, team building, instructional design and delivery.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of organizational management measurements/metrics.
Skills: • The ability to influence senior stakeholders to help prioritize investment and learning resources to meet the needs of the organization.
• Must have the ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment.
• Be able to build rapport and credibility in order to be established as a trusted advisor.
• Must have excellent facilitation, project management, writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated competence in organizational change, strategies, analysis and professional relationship building; effective presentation skills; capable and agile to understand and create continuous learning at all levels.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, balancing workload and establishing priorities.
• Must have demonstrated experience developing teams.
Preferred Certifications: • ATD, CPLP, PHR or SPHR

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. The HR Coordinator reports to this position.
