The Assistant Residential Treatment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the supervision of residential units daily, programming and ensuring youth needs are met so they can live safely, independently and productively within their home communities and serves as part of the Residential leadership team and serves as back up to the Residential Treatment Coordinator.
Requirements Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
• Minimum Associates’ degree required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with high risk youth in residential treatment setting.
• Supervisory management experience in a residential treatment setting preferred.
• TCI, First/Aid CPR certified and ability to maintain
• Ability to implement programming including independent living groups, therapeutic recreation and community service initiatives are completed and provide consistency/accountability to youth while enhancing therapeutic relationships. Coordinates with clinical team to schedule of off campus trips including court appointments, medical appointments, home visits and leaves, and special trips including transportation needs.
• Demonstrated crisis management skills including ability to assess situations and resolve multiple conflicts simultaneously. Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated decision making, organizational and communication skills including attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and listening and training skills.
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external departments and/or stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including building and maintaining effective work teams and ability to manage 24x7 operations.
• Demonstrated computer literacy including but not limited to MS Office suite and other database systems.
• Handles confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion, demonstrated knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to operation of programs offered including OCFS regulations and COA standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work with a culturally and economically diverse population
• Capable of working in a stressful environment
• Current and valid driver’s license required as per Agency guidelines
