Title Mortgage Accountant (Anaheim)

Candidates in this position will be working in our Accounting Department.  This position would be reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • GL Reconciliations
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Mortgage accounting for origination and sales
  • Understanding of the whole mortgage process
  • Ability to work with executive management levels
  • Presenting data to executive management in clear, concise and meaningful methods
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues, create reports and analysis

Requirements:

  • Accounting for Mortgage Bankers (AMB) software experience required
  • Great Plains knowledge would be good but not required
  • Microsoft Excel and Access intermediate to advanced level required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule; overtime will be required at all times as necessary to get the job done
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to read and understand information presented verbally and in writing
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directives
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Effectively communicate and engage proactively with all departments and staff

Other Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 4 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with software conversion highly desirable
  • Accounting for Mortgage Bankers (AMB) software experience required
  • Great Plans knowledge; Preferred but not required
  • Microsoft Excel and Access intermediate to advanced level required
