EMCORE Corporation is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop for CATV, Satcom, and DS products.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Software/firmware design and implementation
• Digital Circuit design and Control systems development for Optic-electrical Transmitter, Receiver, or Transceiver
• Test & debug
Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• BSEE or MSEE
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5-year experience in embedded system software development in C and C++.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience developing software and porting open source software for embedded platforms Linux/RTOS
• Linux/RTOS kernel, file-systems, boot process, and driver architecture
• Experience on ARM processors
• Expertise in low-level networking (TCP/UDP) as well as higher level protocols (HTTP/REST), USB stacks
• Experience in web development and SNMP agent development.
• Experience with network security
• Understanding of processor and hardware requirements around embedded OS
• Effective communication skills
