We are looking for a full -time Senior Programs Engineer/Manager for our expanding FOG Program. In this role, you will be responsible for creation of technical product proposals and managing product development execution for large and complex OEM programs with broad market applicability which leverages resources across multiple groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops Integrated Master Plans and/or Schedules (IMP/IMS) for new product developments / implementations
• Manage integrated team to develop products on schedule and cost targets
• Develop and implement risk management processes in projects; Implements risk mitigation actions
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• May serve in leadership capacity to identify, document, and coordinate technical aspects of new interfaces / functionality in order to support specific customer requirements for implementations that can be scalable across multiple integrated flight deck programs or retrofit product lines
• Contributes to the creation or modification of system-level processes and best practices for program execution
• Acts as reviewer of technical product proposals and related documentation in response to customer request
• Independently performs technical market research and analysis in support of product definition and/or business development initiatives
• May act as program lead on a large and complex program spanning multiple resources across different groups.
• May act as primary coordinator for internal resources to support customer executive review
• May define and/or develop tools that span multiple projects or programs
• Assesses and manages Critical Path from IMS in projects/programs, anticipating delays and developing plans to mitigate such delays
Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics from a four-year college or university

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
• MS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• 5 years’ relevant experience in direct project/program management of complex product development
• Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: inertial navigation, mechanical systems development, electrical components development
• Schedule development and management using MS Project; including critical path development
• Demonstrated experience successfully leading diverse technical and business teams to develop engineered products.
• Basic cost accounting and reporting necessary
• Experience with developing Basis of Estimates (BOE) for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and product costs
• Demonstrates proficient skill in conducting in-depth system testing and troubleshooting through detailed knowledge of the system and use of available test tools
• Produces work with a high degree of quality that requires little to no oversight or review
• Exhibits a high-level of organization, structure, and autonomy in all program management activities
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal skills, written, and interpersonal
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver program/project briefings to senior leadership internally and externally (customers)


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Aerospace industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop product briefings for marketing and technical interchange purposes
• Demonstrated ability leading flight critical Electronic Hardware / SW development programs to Aerospace Prime Customers (e.g. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, Raytheon)
