As a Substitute Residential Counselor, you will work within an adult residential setting in Southampton, Burlington County, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Train and assist with hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, laundry, and household chores

• Provide functional assessments of consumers

• Provide individual services coordination

• Supervise and organize recreational activities

• Record significant shift incidents and observations

• Train and direct in all Activities of Daily Living

• Respond to emergency situations as directed by the Program Supervisor

• Possess availability to consumers and staff on a 24 hour emergency basis

• Must work 2 or more Holidays per year

• Must work 16 hours of weekend per month

• Must attend 8 staff meetings per year

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BSW) from an accredited college in a mental health related discipline

• One year of related work or life experience if the four year college education is not in a human service field or a combination of one or more years of college plus work or life experience equal to four years

• A license as a registered nurse (RN)

• A license as a practical nurse (LPN) plus two (2) years of related work or life experience

• High School diploma or equivalent plus four years of related work or life experience

• Good verbal and writing skills

All positions require a valid driver’s license in good standing, pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. All candidates, if hired, will be expected to cooperate with Oaks Integrated Care and The Department of Human Services in all inspections and investigations.
