SECURITY GUARD
Security
General Statement of Duties:
Focus: HOPE’s security procedures protection of Secuirtyety telephone support at a switchboard without continuous supervision and reception of visitors and guests. Utilize a moderate degree independent judgment involving the ability to make decisions based on established routines and procedures with the supervisor available to handle unusual situations. Work duties involve a high degree of accuracy and coordination.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contribute to pleasant, effective, and coordinated work environment
• Patrol facilities to detect out-of-order conditions and ensure gates and critical areas are locked as directed.
• Report irregularities and monitor enforcement of rules, regulations and police of the company related to security.
• Control parking lots, locks and keys for Focus: HOPE and all other Focus: HOPE interests, and buildings and vacant lots as directed.
• Write accurate, timely and thorough reports of observances and investigations.
• Take proper action in emergencies and alarms and/or notify designated agencies (police and fire) and people on the Emergency Notification List as directed.
• Telephone key personnel in case of an emergency
• Receive, greet and direct visitors and guests
• Contribute to pleasant, effective, and coordinated work environment
• Perform related duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong commitment to civil and human rights
• High level of oral communication skills
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions
• Knowledge of trouble diagnosing procedures and ability to route to technical support.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Some analytical ability and manual dexterity
Supervision Received
Perform duties under the supervision of the Manager of Security and at times, Security Guard Supervisor.

| Requirements |
Education, Training and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent education, and or training.
At least 1-2 years experience in a Security Guard position. |
