Title Apprenticeship Coordinator

Description The position requires management of program operations, and student and employer relationships that promote and support the objectives of the FH apprenticeship program. The Apprenticeship Coordinator will have a high level of engagement with other apprenticeship providers/partners, the Department of Labor, and program participants in order to provide program assessments, monitoring, support, apprenticeship advocacy, and accountability for program outcomes & metrics. This position contributes to all task related to the successful matriculation of students through the apprentice program from recruitment, to pre-apprenticeship training, apprenticeship training, and sustainable employment upon program completion. The Apprenticeship Coordinator also serves as the key conduit to manage the student to training/education to employer relationship and all related class schedules, performance requirements, wage schedules, support services, etc. needed throughout the program.
• Ensure FH apprenticeship program is registered and in compliance as a Registered Apprenticeship program with the Department of labor.
• Provide intake and assessment process to screen individuals for participation in the program.
• Act as a liaison for all external groups and partners for employer referrals, resources, and to deliver quality apprentices to employers.
• Set up and effectively use administration systems and procedures to manage all aspects of the program (students, employers, partners, coursework, program flow, etc.).
• Research, develop, and maintain list of employers and businesses to foster relationships in support of targeted training and hiring commitments for the program.
• Develop and coordinate employer to student match procedure with appropriate criteria, interviews, checkpoints, approvals, etc.
• Negotiate student and employer needs within the program (class schedule, on the job training, apprenticeship hours, wage schedule, etc.).
• Collaborate with FH Apprenticeship Manager, Training and Education Program staff, and case managers to assess and mitigate participant barriers and fulfill needs for program success.
• Monitoring, and tracking of all student activity, employer activity and completions of all required data, files, documentation and reports with timely submission.
• Participate in program outreach and recruitment and advocate for the apprenticeship model.
• Assist with providing related program services to support student success throughout the program.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners for status meetings, progress reports, process improvements and other support as needed.
• Provide administrative support to maintain records, auditable documents, for all aspects of the program
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with program participants.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, 3 years’ experience in Business, Education, Employment Services or related field. Previous program coordination or apprenticeship program experience preferred.
