[ Clinical Director - Substance Abuse Treatment Program ]

We are currently seeking a Clinical Director for our Boston, MA program. The Clinical Director is responsible for the management and direction of the clinical department and functions collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and Medical Director to plan, implement and evaluate treatment. This person will report jointly to both the Program Director for this location and the Director of Clinical Services at the corporate level. This is a full-time, salaried position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As Clinical Director, you will be an integral part of Habit OPCO’s multidisciplinary treatment approach, helping patients address not only their physical addiction, but also the psychological and social aspects of this complex disorder. The clinical department will work in consultation with the operations, medical, and nursing departments to create and monitor the individualized treatment plans for each patient.

Among other duties, our Clinical Director, would be expected to:

  • Provide effective and efficient leadership and administrative management of the clinical department via individual and group supervision of staff and regular staff meetings and trainings
  • Monitor and evaluate duration, frequency and modality of treatment provided to determine consistency with clinical need
  • Review, update and implement clinical policies, procedures Identify quality improvement opportunities and develop interventions to improve services and programming based on data collection review
  • Participate in the recruitment, retention and development of qualified clinical staff and ensure that they are scheduled to meet patient demand
  • Identify staff strengths and weaknesses; provide specific coaching

JOB REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have Master's degree in Counseling or related field A deep knowledge of substance abuse counseling (at least 2 years SA specific experience) At least two years of experience in a clinical, supervisory role Independent licensure by the commonwealth of Massachusetts (either an LMHC or LICSW)

  • Experience Working in a Methadone Program a Plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish a Plus
  • Familiarity with Clinic Management Software a Plus
  • Basic Computer Skills (MS Office) & the Desire/Ability to Learn New Software
