JOB SUMMARY:

 This position is responsible for facilitating work readiness and core skills training inside a correctional facility; building mutually respectful, outcomes-driven relationships with participants, staff, training partners, and other community stakeholders to promote the delivery of holistic services at Emerge; and completing thorough reporting and evaluation practices and other administrative tasks to ensure compliance with agency and funder guidelines

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and track core skills, work readiness, financial education, and job retention trainings to diverse populations. Maintain and update curriculum and marketing materials.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and guidance toward goal achievement to participants enrolled in short-term training programs, specifically around goals related to promoting economic mobility
  • Assess participants’ skills, interests, and aptitudes by administering relevant testing and inventory assessments.
  • Perform job retention and career advancement services and connect participants to additional training opportunities as needed.     
  • Monitor participant accountability to ensure contract compliance.
  • Have knowledge /experience of re-entry resources and processes.
  • Comfort working within a correctional facility.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered in place of degree.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 2 years direct service employment experience; including knowledge, skills, and abilities with case management, data entry and outcomes reporting.
  • Minimum 2 years facilitation and content development experience.
  • Business acumen

     

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
