JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing quick connect services at the Hennepin County South Minneapolis Service Center and employment services for Minnesota Family Investment Program.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for referring potential MFIP participants to various community agencies based on, but not limited to: demonstrating a working knowledge of and ability to perform comprehensive services for persons reentering the labor market to include: assessments, educational and career coaching and laddering, connection to internal and external supportive services, traditional & non-traditional job placement, facilitation of intake, workplace interventions, and general case management duties.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related experience and/or education equivalent to two years (Associates Degree or higher preferred but not required)
  • One year of work experience in employment & training, human services, and/or MFIP preferred.
  • GCDF certification preferred.
  • Somali speaking preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple internal and external databases.
