DIRECT HIRE opportunity - Specialty Oncology Supportive Care Sales

CHICAGO Territory - territory inlcudes all of "Metro Chicago" going north to include Milwaukee and then south to include Peoria and just south of Springfield.    

The "Oncology Supportive Care Specialist" is a Pharmaceutical Sales position. This person will report to and take direction from the Regional Sales Director. The OSCS will promote and sell products to current and potential customers within a defined geography. The Oncology Supportive Care Representative must consistently meet or exceed all sales budgets/goals on all products assigned. The OSCS is expected to possess a high-level knowledge of their products, customers and territory. The rep will develop, analyze, and prioritize in order to execute territory plans to achieve business results through compliant means. The OSCS will establish and maintain excellent communications and sound working relationships with co-workers and assigned physicians and healthcare providers. The OSCS will actively participate in scheduled company sales meetings, regional and national conference calls and other business meetings. The OSCS must demonstrate honesty and integrity while modeling behaviors consistent with company standards and policies for business and compliance related matters. All calls must be entered into the company assigned system along with notable post call notes, sample activity, etc. Various administrative duties such as expense reporting are also required. The OSCS must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents. Other related duties as required.


• BA/BS from an accredited College or University - Business or Life Science degrees preferred.

• 1+ year(s) of prior successful pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred

• Ideal candidates have above average assertiveness, above average extraversion/relationship building, strong sense of urgency, and good amount of formality/ability to follow rules/structure.

• Consistent track record of quantifiable/documented sales accomplishments is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze and act upon sales data within an assigned geography.

• Solid and persuasive business communication with physicians and providers.

• Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgement and discretion and to analyze and address territory opportunities.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a complete background check

• Familiarity with a Sales Force Automation (SFA) application is preferred.

• Computer Skills: proficiency in business software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• ABILITY TO TRAVEL - some territories as much as 50% - as requested by leadership.
