| Description |
This person will lead the development of n-tiered web-based applications and automation systems and reports; Initiates and leads research on emerging technologies to maintain technical leadership in our market; Ensures that new and existing applications meet corporate standards and practices; Analyzes issues in availability or performance and makes recommendations for updates; Manages the development team who design, review, deploy and operate applications.
This person will be accountable for:
•Day-to-day management of the development team, providing direction, motivation and technical support.
• Seeking out, reviewing, recommending, and implementing new development tools, environments, technologies and techniques.
• Working with the architecture group to ensure the architected vision is consistent and the approach is being followed by the development team.
• Interfacing with internal staff and clients as necessary to understand business objectives and align the development group to meet those objectives.
• Communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical associates
• Improving the development process to ensure it remains efficient and predictable.
• Managing a well established, dynamic team.
• Capacity and development resource planning.
• Associate development, motivation, performance management and improvement.
• Refining, establishing and enforcing development standards and policies.

| Requirements |
Requirements:
• Person must have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS with 5+ years experience developing n-tier web applications and 3 to 5 years experience in management or team lead roll. Experience in an online environment preferred.
• Demonstrated success in managing and building a high performance team.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical associates.
• Supportive and flexible management style.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
