Facilitate the packaging and shipping for SLI/Quidel.
Essential Duties:
Prepare orders for shipment by transferring lot #s and changes from ship list to sales order.
Verify lot #, part #, description, volume and type of refrigerant are correct on the ship list, sales order, product label, data sheet and certificate of testing with complete accuracy and detail.
Determine the number, size and weight of the boxes that a shipment will require before it is packed.
Determine the amount of dry ice or blue ice a shipment will require to maintain the product at proper temperature for the number of days it will be in transit.
Be familiar with the different types of freight carrier air waybills, Shipper’s Letter of Instruction, bill of ladings, and export certificates that are required for shipment.
Properly label packages according to carrier specifications and IATA regulations.
Assist other departments when time permits.

Job Specifications:
Working knowledge of the metric system.
Attention to detail.
Self-motivated.
Working Conditions/Physical & Mental Demands:
Heavy work, indoors: Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in temperatures ranging from 32 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
