SIFMA’s Asset Management Group (SIFMA AMG) is a community of individuals from leading asset management firms brought together by a common goal: to promote the development of liquid, efficient, open and safe capital markets. Asset managers of all sizes come together through AMG to achieve this goal by developing views on public and regulatory policy and creating industry best practices. This collaboration contributes to shared knowledge that allows our organization to effectively advocate on behalf of our Members and help Members come together to address widespread regulatory change.

SIFMA AMG is seeking an Associate-level candidate to focus on derivatives regulation, among other regulatory issues on an as-needed basis. Key responsibilities of the role include:
•Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing regulatory and industry developments, largely focused on derivatives in the U.S. and abroad;
•Assisting with the preparation of comment letters and regulatory meetings;
•Supporting seminars, webinars, member meetings and member calls;
•Responding to member inquiries;
•Administering committee and working group materials; and
•Building relationships with existing and prospective asset manager members.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; JD preferred;
•Demonstrated ability to understand and apply complex regulations;
•Strong interest in derivatives markets and regulations; experience working at an asset manager, regulator, derivatives clearing firm and/or swap dealer preferred;
•Strong oral and written communication skills; and
•Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple, on-going projects.
